The vineyard of the Grammenou Family is located in the village of Sinarados, approximately 2 kilometers from the area where the winery is housed. It extends to the locations of Skafona, Korakas and Vouni in the west-central part of the island of Corfu at an altitude of 250-300 meters.
The main varieties of the estate are the white Kakotrygis
(he got her name because of his difficult deployment
stem from the stem during the harvest stage)
from which the white wine KAKOTRYGIS P.G.E. is produced.
And the red Petrokorithos (variety that loves the
stony soils and according to one version came from
Corinthians who were the first ancient colonists
who inhabited the island in 735) from which it is produced
the rosé wine PETROCORITHO LOCAL WINE.
Particularly notable varieties (although not identified
as it should) which are grown in very limited
vineyard areas are the white ones:
SNAKES, KOKALIARIS, KOZANITIS, ROMBOLA.
And the red SKOPELITIKO and MARZAVI (Lefkaditiko
Bertzami who arrived in Corfu during the time of the Venetians)
showing great oenological interest.
The purpose of the company is that these varieties will soon
gain great recognition and status in
oenological map.
The soil of the area is mild Mediterranean with
enough moisture due to southeast winds and
of frequent rainfall as it is west of it
mountainous zone of Greece.
The vines are dry and the only source of dew that
have a need during the summer season is pumped
from the moisture trapped in the soil by the
presence of small hills rising around
from the estates.
The cultivation of the vineyard is done with special care and passion following the development of technology as well as scientific study so that the produced product is worthy of the expectations and requirements for the production of excellent quality wines.
